Key responsibilities & impact

Lead system design and development efforts across new programs
Perform design and development of integrated avionics and communications systems
Provide expert judgment and analysis for technical products and systems
Resolve highly complex technical issues and conduct advanced research
Defend work and design approaches using Systems Engineering concepts, practices, and procedures
Recommend alterations to development and design to improve product and procedure quality
Plan and accomplish goals using applicable experience and judgment
Implement planning and reflection cadences across multiple project teams to synchronize team members and activities
Guide development flow, architecture, design quality, code quality, system quality, and release quality of deliverables
Mentor junior engineering candidates in Systems Engineering best practices
Develop and write system test plans and procedures in accordance with industry standards
Simulate end-user operations and execute test procedures
Support generation of testable requirements and design test bed architecture
Write detailed test cases and articulate results in a software development lifecycle management tool such as Digital.ai Agility or JIRA

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an Engineering-related field
Active Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance required
U.S. Citizenship is mandatory
8+ years of experience in Systems Engineering or a related field
Proven experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies
Experience with simulation tools and techniques for system design, analysis, and validation
Prior experience with Army Command and Control (C2) systems such as IBCS, FAAD, THAAD etc. (desired)
3+ years of experience with tactical data links including Link 16 (desired)
3+ years of experience with DoD radio communications systems (desired)
3+ years of experience with IP network design and maintenance (desired)
Safe Engineering experience (desired)
Strong written and verbal communication skills (desired)
Understanding of new product Life Cycle to include: system design, development, integration, test, delivery, product support and retirement (desired)
CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Linux+, CompTIA Project+, or CompTIA AeroIT certifications (desired)
Holds or willing to work towards Systems Engineering Professional Certification, e.g. INCOSE ASEP as a minimum (desired)
