About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop new ABAP programs in a predominantly SAP ECC environment
- Analyze and understand how existing solutions work
- Maintain existing ABAP programs
- Perform analysis and debugging to support solution development and maintenance
- Work on system integrations using CPI, APIs, BAPIs, RFCs, and other communication mechanisms
- Independently handle more complex technical requests
- May be required to remain in a virtual meeting room during business hours, without the possibility of performing parallel activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Solid hands-on experience in ABAP development, consistent with an established mid-level or senior professional
- Strong experience with system integrations
- Advanced knowledge of APIs
- Advanced knowledge of BAPIs
- Advanced knowledge of RFCs and other mechanisms for communication between systems
- Strong ability to analyze and debug programs
- Ability to understand and maintain existing solutions
- Technical ability to develop new programs and work in complex scenarios
- In-depth knowledge of the latest SAP S/4HANA functionality is not required
