About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Represent Ultragenyx in the rare disease community and promote Dojolvi, Fayuvi, and Genglycos treatments
- Serve as territory business owner, focusing on impact and territory analysis
- Optimize patient diagnosis and care through HCP education, educate HCPs about approved products, and assist with treatment fulfillment
- Develop and nurture business relationships with HCPs, Registered Dieticians, Genetic Counselors, Pharmacists, and related support staff
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and drive agreement and decisions
- Develop and maintain a strategic territory business plan for academic centers, community targets, priority specialties, opportunities, and challenges
- Determine and implement daily and weekly travel schedules and call plans for key accounts
- Execute programs, high-impact in-services, and educational opportunities in the territory
- Complete compliance, product, and disease-state trainings, Veeva administration, monthly expense reports, and other administrative requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 8 years of experience, with 5+ years in the healthcare/biotech industry, inclusive of 3 years of field-based experience in account management, sales, and/or field reimbursement
- Documented track record of field sales success
- Strategic business acumen and cross-functional and collaborative leadership with internal stakeholders including marketing, medical, clinical operations, and patient services
- Demonstrated experience effectively presenting clinical/scientific information
- Approximately 50–60% travel required, with overnight travel as needed
- Must live in the territory geography: Illinois, Kansas, and Missouri
- Rare disease experience preferred
- Experience launching biopharma/pharma products successfully preferred
