About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Greet visitors and/or patients for scheduled and urgent care appointments and procedures
  • Confirm and verify patient demographic and insurance information
  • Collect patient co-payments upon arrival when applicable
  • Obtain patient/guardian consent signatures for treatment authorization and insurance/billing information
  • Assess patient needs, including financial counseling, interpreter services, and social services
  • Refer patients to the appropriate person or area

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma required
  • 3 years of related experience required; waived with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to use specialized applications software and computer systems
  • Ability to work multifunctionally and under stressful situations
  • Professional behavior and excellent communication and human relations skills
  • Knowledge of business office procedures and medical terminology/procedures preferred
  • Monday through Friday availability
  • Day-shift availability: 7:30–4:00 or 8:30–5:00
  • Part-time/per diem schedule
