About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify, assess, diagnose, manage, and interpret test results related to disorders of human hearing, balance, and other neural systems for pediatrics through geriatrics
  • Evaluate auditory function using pure tone and speech testing, immittance testing, and otoacoustic emission testing
  • Evaluate the vestibular system using videonystagmography (VNG) procedures
  • Perform advanced electrophysiologic tests including Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) and Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potential (VEMP) testing
  • Interpret results and counsel patients regarding test results
  • Determine treatment courses and review hearing-care options with patients

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's or Doctorate Degree in Audiology from an accredited institution of higher learning
  • Massachusetts Audiologist license
  • Attainment of the Certificate of Clinical Competence within six months of date of hire
  • Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Audiology
  • Demonstrated skill in analyzing problems and making decisions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively with all members of the healthcare team
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
