About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist during audiological evaluations under the direction of an Audiologist
- Room patients and take patient case histories
- Program hearing aids for CI and Baha evaluations
- Troubleshoot hearing technology devices, recommend repairs, and draft authorization requests for parts and repairs
- Maintain a tracking system and instruct patients and families in the use of hearing technology equipment
- Enter and extract research data from databases
- Check in hearing technology equipment and document it in SharePoint
- Produce and maintain statistical records, reports, forms, schedules, and other materials
- Perform administrative duties as necessary
- Maintain supplies, inventory, clinical equipment, toys, files, records, consult rooms, and booths
- Keep the clinic neat and orderly
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate degree with a Health Care background
- Eligibility to become licensed as an Audiology Assistant in Massachusetts and obtain licensure within 3 months of hire
- Knowledge of the Audiology field and functions
- Analytical skills and judgment to interpret data and take appropriate action
- Knowledge of basic patient care and office procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills, empathy, and ability to interact effectively with children and parents
- Organization skills, attention to detail, and good phone etiquette/customer service
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office products
