About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform selected and delegated nursing tasks in patient care
  • Complete patient physical assessments
  • Perform and/or delegate provider-ordered patient treatments
  • Participate in patient and family education plans
  • Assess and record patients' basic health status, records, and related data
  • Administer medications and vaccinations; perform treatments, venipuncture, and 12-lead EKGs
  • Participate in implementing and evaluating care plans, goals, nursing actions, and teaching
  • Document patient care and report symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient condition
  • Assist providers with treatments, procedures, and special tests
  • Communicate with patients electronically, by telephone, and in person within scope of practice
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure quality and continuity of care
  • Maintain a safe environment and comply with departmental, health, safety, and quality-improvement requirements
  • Attend required meetings, conferences, and seminars
  • Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
  • Current Massachusetts licensure required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Knowledge of basic nursing procedures
  • Strong interpersonal skills to gather information, build relationships, support collaborative work, and provide exceptional patient service
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted unless certification, licensure, or registration is required
  • Monday through Friday schedule, 9a-5:30p
  • Reliable and predictable attendance
