About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design Medical Center-, Medical Group-, and department-wide improvement projects and initiatives
- Manage projects through completion, including teams, project plans, timelines, and deliverables
- Establish and implement project metrics and adjust activities to ensure project success
- Escalate barriers to achieve timely and measurable results
- Create project communications, reports, presentations, dashboards, and visualizations for leaders and stakeholders
- Evaluate and recommend vendors, pilot services and products, and partner with leadership on selections
- Advise department staff, hospital leaders, frontline staff, and managers on project management tools, best practices, and implementation tactics
- Identify best practices and overcome barriers to improvement initiatives
- Analyze and synthesize data from reporting systems for project direction and communications
- Develop educational materials and collaborate with administrative and clinical personnel
- Facilitate communication with families and professionals to design, implement, and evaluate improvement efforts
- Provide operational support for patient experience programs and Patient and Family Advisory Councils
- Analyze Press Ganey, Cipher digital rounding, and Tableau PX Portal data
- Manage digital rounding operations, user accounts, onboarding/offboarding, troubleshooting, training, preceptorship programs, and newsletters
- Support recognition programs, Patient Experience Week, websites, social media, orientations, and educational programs
- Attend meetings, conferences, seminars, and organizational committees as required
- Maintain compliance with departmental policies, quality improvement practices, health and safety requirements, and reliable attendance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare or related field
- Must have driver’s license to move from one campus to another as necessary
- Five years related work experience in Business, Healthcare or related field
- Three years of project management experience
- Ability to multi-task, trace progress and quality of project plans, and manage ongoing work
- Ability to work independently and function as a team member fostering effective communication and coordination
- Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Strong organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Working knowledge of Access
- Working knowledge of patient-centered care principles, performance improvement standards and methodology, and Lean Management principles preferred
- Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare or related field preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted where certification, licensure, or registration is not required
