Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, deliver, and manage direct patient care using the nursing process and nursing practice standards
  • Manage patient care from admission to discharge according to developmental age
  • Perform patient assessments and reassessments
  • Develop and coordinate individualized care plans, including discharge planning
  • Direct, supervise, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care

  • Ensure quality and continuity of care through collaboration with healthcare providers
  • Administer medications, perform treatments and therapies, and operate equipment

  • Support professional growth and assist with staff education and development
  • Comply with departmental policies, procedures, health and safety requirements, and quality improvement practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration
  • BLS certification required for every RN unless current ACLS certification is held, plus unit-specific certifications and competencies
  • Thorough knowledge of nursing
  • ACLS certification
  • PALS or APLS certification
  • Must be eligible to obtain CEN upon hire and obtain it within 12 months of hire or by 1/31/2029, whichever is earlier
  • Minimum of three years’ experience working in a full-service hospital emergency department
  • Provide traditional clinical emergency services at a full-service hospital emergency department at the Marlborough Campus for at least 25% of total working hours per year
  • Ability to work indoors in a patient care environment
  • Reliable and predictable attendance
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing highly preferred
