About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, deliver, and manage direct patient care using the nursing process
  • Manage patient care from admission through discharge
  • Perform patient assessments and reassessments
  • Develop and coordinate individualized care and discharge plans
  • Direct, supervise, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care
  • Delegate tasks appropriately according to job descriptions and competency levels
  • Document patient care and patient/family education plans
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure quality and continuity of care
  • Administer medications and perform treatments, therapies, procedures, and special tests
  • Operate equipment according to policy and procedure

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current Massachusetts licensure and registration
  • Completion of an accredited school of nursing program
  • BLS certification, unless current ACLS certification is held, plus unit-specific certifications and competencies
  • Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing
  • Ability to work every other holiday and every third weekend
  • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
  • Compliance with departmental policies, health and safety regulations, and professional standards
