About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, deliver, and manage direct patient care using the nursing process
- Manage patient care from admission through discharge
- Perform patient assessments and reassessments
- Develop and coordinate individualized care and discharge plans
- Direct, supervise, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care
- Delegate tasks appropriately according to job descriptions and competency levels
- Document patient care and patient/family education plans
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure quality and continuity of care
- Administer medications, perform treatments and therapies, operate equipment, and assist physicians with procedures and tests
- Participate in Nursing Governance and performance improvement initiatives
- Support professional growth and staff education and development
- Attend required meetings, conferences, and seminars
- Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current Massachusetts licensure and registration
- Completion of an accredited school of nursing program
- Current BLS certification, unless current ACLS certification is held, plus unit-specific certifications and competencies as required
- Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing
- Ability to work a night shift from 7pm–7am
- Reliable and predictable attendance
- Compliance with departmental policies, health and safety regulations, and quality requirements
