About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, deliver, and manage direct patient care using the nursing process
- Manage patient care from admission through discharge
- Perform patient assessments and reassessments
- Develop and coordinate individualized care and discharge plans
- Direct, supervise, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care
- Delegate tasks according to job descriptions and competency levels
- Document patient care and education plans
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure quality and continuity of care
- Administer medications and perform treatments, therapies, procedures, and special tests
- Operate medical equipment according to policy and procedure
- Participate in Nursing Governance and performance improvement initiatives
- Support staff education and development
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current Massachusetts licensure and registration
- Completion of an accredited school of nursing program
- BLS certification, unless current ACLS certification is held, plus unit-specific certifications and competencies
- Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing
- Ability to work a 12-hour night shift, 7pm–7am
- Reliable and predictable attendance
- Compliance with health and safety regulations
