About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform all types of vascular ultrasound studies and non-imaging/physiological testing according to department protocols
- Perform specialized or general procedures according to established departmental protocols
- Perform ultrasound procedures and non-imaging studies for vascular and other required areas
- Operate all types of ultrasound equipment
- Perform portable examinations throughout the hospital, including the Operating Room and Intensive Care Units
- Record images and make hard copies where applicable
- Use IDXrad to schedule and complete exams as applicable
- Process labels, folders, and films
- Serve as a resource to sonographers, physicians, and students
Requirements
What you’ll need- Specialized post-secondary training equal to two years of college
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) registration required by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) registration required by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- BLS certification required
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced Vascular Lab
- On-call availability required, including every sixth weekend and holiday
- Monday through Friday availability
- Scheduled hours of 7:30 AM–5:00 PM across four 9-hour shifts
- Must work day shift
- Position is 36 hours per week
