About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build customer relationships and recommend and sell financial products and services
- Ask personalized questions to understand customers’ financial goals and connect them with suitable solutions
- Create and manage a loan pipeline, focusing on prospecting and cross-selling home equity loans, unsecured personal loans, auto loans, and mortgage referrals
- Source consumer lending opportunities through networking, customer conversations, business development, and proactive sourcing
- Learn and perform transactions, cash-drawer management, and bank documentation according to industry and legal standards
- Track and challenge daily key performance metrics while balancing priorities and delivering a strong customer experience
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Two years of retail banking sales experience or other relevant experience
- Reliable transportation and ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings
- Ability to obtain a NMLS registration within 90 days
- Ability to learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately
- Basic math skills and ability to problem solve within established risk parameters/tolerances
- Ability to make personal connections, engage and educate customers, ask open-ended questions, and listen to establish trust and build lasting relationships
- Strong business development capabilities for proactively growing a personal book of business through campaign offers, prospecting leads, service-to-sales conversations, and centers of influence referrals
- Ability to thrive in a high-energy, sales-driven team and leverage coaching and feedback
- Expert product knowledge and conversation skills
- Compelling communication, positive image, problem-solving ability, and positive-outcome orientation
- Attention to detail when completing documents or explaining features and benefits
- Enjoy coaching others as a sales mentor
- College degree or military equivalent strongly preferred
- Bilingual ability preferred/bonus
