About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create custom investment solutions for sophisticated and complex high-net-worth clients
  • Serve as the investment management subject matter expert within a financial planning team
  • Develop, maintain, and oversee investment strategy and asset allocation for Private Wealth Management clients
  • Oversee discretionary management of investment advisory accounts for clients with at least $3 million in investable assets
  • Collaborate with the Portfolio Construction Desk to open advisory accounts and manage investment strategy
  • Assist Wealth Advisors and Managing Partners with portfolio analysis and advanced Portfolio Management solutions
  • Develop strategies based on individual client Investment Policy Statements and Request for Proposal parameters
  • Serve as the investment expert during client meetings and lead discussions on investment strategy and performance
  • Articulate firm messaging about macroeconomic and market factors
  • Participate in and occasionally lead sales presentations
  • Collaborate with Client Service Specialists and Relationship Managers to process administrative tasks accurately and timely
  • Develop and oversee investment policies, procedures, reporting, Regulation 9 reviews, and performance metrics
  • Deploy firm-approved asset allocation models and implement investment strategy
  • Make asset allocation recommendations and set up portfolios with the Portfolio Construction Desk
  • Examine current portfolios and provide rebalancing instructions
  • Review and recommend appropriate benchmarks
  • Provide initial and ongoing review of client Investment Policy Statements
  • Actively participate in or lead assigned investment committees
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • College degree or relevant experience
  • 8 years’ experience in Investment Management, Financial Planning, or Brokerage, including communicating complex and detailed information related to investment management process and portfolio construction
  • Must have, or possess ability to obtain, Series 65 registration within 120 days of employment
  • Demonstrated high degree of emotional intelligence when interacting with clients and internal partners
  • Ability to develop, expand, and close relationships with clients and external professionals to enhance business opportunities
  • Strong verbal, written, listening, and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of portfolio modeling, platforms, policies and procedures, and state and federal laws/regulations related to investment and trading
  • Strong leadership skills
