About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review student records and monitor student enrollments
- Process enrollments in PeopleSoft and the VA’s Enrollment Manager system
- Remain compliant with Department of Veterans Affairs rules and regulations
- Liaise with advising operations, Office of Financial Solutions, and other UMGC departments to resolve escalated certification questions and concerns
- Assist students with Department of Veterans Affairs issues related to VA educational benefits
- Liaise with overseas points of contact to process enrollment certifications
- Adhere to SAA and VA regulations and VCO office protocols
- Provide students, prospective students, and UMGC staff with general information about VA educational benefits
- Act as first point of contact for student escalations
- Develop and maintain job aids and internal training materials
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning
- Two (2) years of experience working at an institution of higher learning, preferably in a college Veterans Affairs Office or Student Advising
- Experience in PeopleSoft and Enrollment Manager preferred
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Cover letter and resume required
