About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor and control R&D spending, including budget planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost optimization
- Track and analyze personnel, laboratory, testing, research contract, and development costs
- Support financial governance of R&D, innovation, capital, and technology projects
- Prepare project financial analyses, assess risks and opportunities, and support project managers in financial planning and performance tracking
- Develop business cases and perform ROI, NPV, IRR, payback, and scenario analyses
- Support investment decision-making and monitor realization of expected project benefits
- Prepare monthly R&D and project performance reports, dashboards, and KPI analyses
- Consolidate financial reporting packages and support portfolio review presentations
- Assist in R&D sample laboratory cost analysis and pricing calculations
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, project governance requirements, and internal control standards
- Support audits, validate cost allocations and capitalization eligibility, and maintain project documentation
- Drive process improvements through automation, digitalization, reporting enhancements, and standardization of project controlling practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3–7 years of experience in Finance, Controlling, Project Controlling, FP&A, or R&D Finance
- Experience in manufacturing, automotive, industrial technology, or chemical industries is preferred
- Exposure to project management environments and cross-functional project teams is an advantage
- Master’s Degree (MBA) or professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or CFA preferred
