About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own financial controlling for the Battery Recycling Solutions business unit
Translate financial results into actionable recommendations for the BRS organization and management
Coordinate month-end closing, including revenue recognition, WIP calculations, and metal result accounting
Prepare and analyze monthly P&L, capital employed, and KPI reporting
Manage metal exposure, hedging practices, boni/mali analysis, and bond sales planning
Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting by consolidating and modelling business inputs
Monitor cost variances, operational KPIs, and yield performance; define improvement plans
Serve as the financial expert and key contact for commercial and operational tools
Assess business flows, system configurations, and financial impacts; develop process improvement proposals
Ensure alignment across Tax, Legal, Trade Compliance, and P&T support functions
Conduct MICR assessments and implement internal control improvements
Promote financial awareness and business acumen across the organization
Lead finance activities during the SAP aftercare phase and optimize processes, controls, and reporting
Drive adoption of Anaplan, Power BI, and other connected digital tools with BIT
Identify AI opportunities to automate recurring activities and improve financial processes
Transfer recurring reporting activities to the centralized organization where appropriate

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in finance and/or controlling
Strong SAP expertise (mandatory)
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Digital savvy and willingness to embrace new technologies
Experience with Anaplan and/or Power BI considered a strong asset
Data-driven mindset
Hands-on and proactive approach
Strong conceptual thinking and excellent analytical skills
Experience in project management and change management
Experience acting as a trusted financial business partner to senior management
Ability to coordinate projects across finance, business, and other departments
Fluent in English, written and spoken
Knowledge of Dutch is a significant advantage
Willingness to work 2 to 3 days per week at the offices in Hoboken (Antwerp), with remaining days from Brussels, Olen, or home
