  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of records, documentation, and transactions in compliance with applicable controls
  • Identify issues or inconsistencies and support the continuous improvement of procedures and work instructions
  • Support colleagues and respond to stakeholder requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Identify issues or deviations in your own work and promptly inform the supervisor

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed Technical Diploma in Chemistry
  • Active registration with the Regional Council of Chemistry (CRQ)
  • A university degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is preferred
  • Knowledge of good laboratory practices and chemical safety
  • Knowledge of handling chemicals and hazardous substances
  • Knowledge of preparing solutions, reagents, and standards
  • Experience performing routine chemical and physicochemical analyses
  • Experience operating laboratory equipment and recording results
  • Experience with inventory control, storage, and management of reagents and consumables
  • Experience working in industrial chemical laboratories
  • Experience with electroplating baths and surface treatment process analyses is a plus
  • Knowledge of or experience handling cyanide-containing compounds is preferred
  • Familiarity with quality, environmental, and safety management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or similar standards) is preferred
