About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support and improve product and process quality across manufacturing
- Ensure products and processes meet customer, regulatory and internal requirements
- Assist with compliance with customer specifications, drawings, procedures and internal quality standards
- Support incoming, in-process and final inspection activities
- Carry out incoming inspections of raw materials, components and consumables
- Record and collect data to evaluate supplier performance
- Collaborate with production teams to improve process capability, consistency and product quality
- Organise and equip inspection and scanning areas
- Support creation and implementation of process flows from goods-in through goods-out
- Support post-processing activities, including batch scanning and baking
- Collect, analyse and interpret quality and production data
- Maintain accurate quality records and document inspection results
- Support investigation and containment of non-conforming product
- Participate in root cause investigations, corrective actions and 8D investigations
- Develop, implement and monitor corrective and preventative actions
- Identify, support and lead continuous improvement and Operational Excellence projects
- Use lean and continuous improvement methodologies to reduce defects, waste and variation
- Improve process controls and reduce human error risk
- Work with suppliers to resolve supplier quality issues
- Maintain incoming substrate inspection records and report non-conforming material
- Support resolution of customer quality concerns
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years experience within a regulated manufacturing, engineering or quality environment
- Excellent IT skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods, e.g. Minitab and SigmaXL
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence
- Understanding of Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence in precision manufacturing
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Understanding of Six Sigma methodologies
- Ability to work with multinational sites and personnel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent record keeping
