About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Communicate with Maintenance and Purchasing to prioritize actions and support plant operations with Stores inventory
- Manage Stores inventory in onsite and offsite warehouses
- Update consumptions and cycle count Stores inventory to maintain sufficient stock
- Manage SAP receipts for delivered Stores and indirect-purchase items
- Organize delivered items and notify the ordering party
- Coordinate pickups and drop-offs with the offsite warehouse
- Manage loading processes and create Bills of Materials for shipments to warehouses or customers
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures for Stores inventory management
- Monitor waste inventory levels with the Environmental Engineer
- Schedule waste pickups, complete waste manifests, and manage loading
- Back up Raw Materials Coordinator duties as required
- Support customer shipments from offsite warehouses or the plant
- Manage weekly inventory processes for key spares and consumables
- Adjust minimum and maximum stock levels with Maintenance and Purchasing
- Control material outflow with Operations and Maintenance
- Collaborate with logistics, warehouse, and sales teams on inventory tracking, cycle counts, procedures, and best practices
- Participate in annual physical inventories
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma required or equivalent experience accepted in lieu of education
- Safety and hazardous materials training
- 3 years of inventory management and warehouse experience
- Must be Forklift certified
- Certified in the Transportation of Hazardous Materials and Dangerous Goods
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Basic mathematics skills
- Ability to create Excel charts for tracking purposes
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines with competing priorities
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and make decisions
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Very detail-oriented
- Ability to maintain relationships with colleagues and customers
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with staff and customers
- Ability to multitask and troubleshoot at the highest level
- Excellent proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Understanding of an ERP system, specifically SAP
