About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Receive incoming products, verify quality, packaging, type, quantity, documentation, and purchase orders
  • Deliver received products to warehouse locations and assign accurate SAP storage bins
  • Apply physical barcodes to raw materials and enter receipt postings into SAP
  • Troubleshoot inconsistencies with incoming products and documentation
  • Prepare shipping, customs, bill of lading, hazardous-material, and courier documentation
  • Arrange transportation, notify freight dispatchers, schedule appointments, and stage products for shipment
  • Confirm customer-service transfer orders
  • Prepare, band, wrap, and label pallets and hazardous products according to customer specifications and regulations
  • Load and unload trailers and export containers
  • Optimize warehouse storage, assist with inventory counts and reconciliation, and maintain FIFO for chemical storage and consumption
  • Provide plant reception, exterior gate operation, recycling-bin rotation/removal, MRO receipt and distribution, and mail distribution
  • Uphold health and safety standards and promote preventive measures and continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma
  • 1-3 years shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Forklift Certified or ability to be certified
  • Working knowledge of SAP, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of 5S and Lean Manufacturing
  • Knowledge of Inventory Management and FIFO
  • TDG certification (preferred)
  • Knowledge of EMS policy and procedures, environmental aspects and impacts, site objectives and targets
  • Commitment to company health and safety standards
  • Contract position covering a fixed term as a replacement position
