About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to work instructions and customer requirements
- Verify and process bills of lading, packing lists, invoices, and purchase orders
- Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damage or discrepancies, and distribute materials appropriately
- Report and resolve shortages, damaged goods, and non-conformance issues
- Use SAP and carrier systems such as UPS and FedEx to manage shipping and receiving transactions
- Ensure shipping and receiving paperwork is complete and accurate
- Unpack and repack specialized materials such as germanium and GASIR
- Maintain organized and properly identified shipping, receiving, and storage areas
- Perform cycle counts and monitor shipping-supply inventory levels
- Ensure shipping and receiving equipment is in good working condition
- Execute assigned supply chain and operations tasks according to standard procedures and safety/quality requirements
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and transactions
- Support continuous improvement of work procedures and instructions
- Respond to stakeholder requests and support colleagues
- Escalate issues, risks, and deviations to the supervisor and follow through on corrective actions
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous shipping/receiving or warehouse experience preferred
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with shipping software
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the facility and navigate warehouse and dock areas safely
- Ability to lift, push, pull, carry, and move materials up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform work involving standing and walking frequently, approximately 50% of the workday
