About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support prospective and current applicants in UMPI’s YourPace competency-based education programs
- Guide applicants through admission requirements
- Review application materials and academic credentials
- Support foreign credential evaluation and English proficiency requirements
- Process application documentation
- Collaborate with university departments to provide a seamless experience from application through enrollment
- Work remotely during periods of inclement weather and/or campus emergencies as an essential position
- Adjust work schedule during admissions-cycle periods as discussed with and approved by the Vice President of Enrollment Services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate degree and at least two years of higher education experience in admissions, student advising, enrollment services, or a related area
- Experience working with adult learners, competency-based education, or international students
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to provide effective and culturally responsive service to a diverse student population
- Working knowledge of international admissions processes, foreign educational credentials, and English language proficiency requirements
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Experience working in multiple technology platforms simultaneously
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Gmail, Zoom, and related communication technologies
- Stable, reliable internet connection with speeds of at least 25 Mbps; mobile hotspots are not acceptable
- Dedicated, distraction-free workspace supporting privacy, confidentiality under University policy and FERPA regulations, and required workstation equipment
- Ability to complete an annual Remote Work Agreement Form
