About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Further development of the backend for DataContentNaicer
Develop and maintain backend services with Python, including REST and GraphQL APIs
Integrate and process various data sources and formats, such as JSON, CSV, and XML
Build and optimize data pipelines and data models, including data cleansing and feature parameter selection
Collaborate with the frontend team to ensure high-performance, stable, and well-documented APIs
Write tests and conduct code reviews
Contribute to an agile team
Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot backend components
Ensure quality assurance of the React frontend

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification
Very strong Python skills, e.g., Flask, FastAPI, or Django
Good foundational knowledge of React
Experience with API design, REST, or GraphQL
Familiarity with JSON, CSV, and XML
Basic knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases
Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to contribute to a growth-oriented product team
Good written and spoken German and English
Registered residence in Germany
Authorized to work in Germany
Nice to have: Experience with Pandas, NumPy, or similar data-processing libraries
Nice to have: Experience with automation, data pipelines, and ETL processes
Nice to have: Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure
Nice to have: Experience with Git, CI/CD, and testing frameworks
Nice to have: Interest in text automation, semantic data, and ontologies
