About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan and manage preventive, operational, and corrective maintenance for critical hospital facilities and utilities, including HVAC/chillers, generators, substations, UPS systems, medical gases, boilers, and fire protection systems
  • Ensure prompt response to corrective maintenance requests, reducing MTTR and minimizing impacts on patient care areas
  • Supervise construction, renovation, layout adjustments, and improvements to the building’s physical infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance with RDC 50/Anvisa, ABNT NBR 7256, ABNT NBR 13534, and other standards and requirements applicable to healthcare environments
  • Support audits, inspections, and assessments conducted by regulatory and safety authorities
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Engineering and Environmental Engineering teams
  • Lead, develop, and determine the staffing requirements of the technical maintenance team
  • Manage vendors and outsourced contracts, monitoring SLAs, KPIs, quality, and safety
  • Control and optimize the department’s OPEX budget
  • Prepare and present operational and financial performance metrics and reports

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
  • Completed postgraduate degree in a related field
  • Active and valid CREA registration
  • Experience in building maintenance and infrastructure, preferably in a hospital setting
  • Experience managing teams, contracts, vendors, SLAs, KPIs, and performance metrics
  • Leadership-oriented, organized, analytical, and capable of making sound decisions
