About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the energization of digital infrastructure for data centers
- Identify and develop energization concepts
- Structure complex commercial deals and drive transactions from ideation to contract signature
- Identify and qualify Uniper sites and assets for data center potential across Germany and potentially other markets
- Take end-to-end responsibility from ideation to development of Powered Land and Private Wire concepts through Financial Decisions
- Evaluate and develop power-capacity-related contracts and other commercial data center opportunities in cooperation with COO functions
- Leverage existing and new generation assets, including gas engines, CCGTs, and hydro, across Uniper’s core markets
- Structure commercial agreements for behind-the-meter arrangements, dedicated grid connections/private wire, and long-term power supply and capacity contracts
- Build and maintain a customer network covering the data center deal value chain, including hyperscalers, private equity project developers, and operators
- Collaborate with Power, Real Estate, Business Controlling, Legal, Risk, and Innovation teams
- Support the evolution of Uniper’s data center strategy and new business models
- Drive commercial negotiations at decision-maker level with customers and partners
Requirements
What you’ll need- Excellent education e.g. in Engineering, Business Administration or Legal
- Strong commercial mindset, communication and negotiation skills with proven track record in taking ownership and driving results
- Track record in developing long-term commercial business relationships
- Ability to manage a complex network of stakeholders, including customers, partners, and local authorities at all levels
- Significant project management skills and experience within infrastructure projects
- Good technical understanding of electrical infrastructure and TSO/DSO processes
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in an international environment
- Fluency in German and English required
- Additional languages are beneficial
