About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Contribute to and execute the Identity and Access Management vision and roadmap
Execute IAM program management and governance
Lead technical teams to ensure alignment with strategy and vision
Determine accurate system access across multiple platforms
Ensure IAM solutions meet security and business objectives by establishing actionable improvement metrics
Continuously improve and innovate IAM capabilities
Drive value, enhance employee experience, and secure digital assets
Support the multi-factor authentication process for United systems
Manage and operate United’s IAM processes and tools
Engage with teams across the airline to implement best-in-class identity solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Cybersecurity, Risk Management, or Computer Science
5+ years of experience in a STEM field, including Identity and Access Management technologies, processes, and capabilities
At least 3 years of leadership experience leading and coaching teams/people
Experience developing and executing Identity and Access Management roadmaps and leading cross-functional execution
Deep understanding of IAM technologies, controls, and best practices, including LDAP, directories, certificates, SAML/OAUTH, MFA, Adaptive Authentication, PKI, IGA, and MDM
Working knowledge of IAM principles in a cloud-first environment
Understanding of PCI, SOX, HIPAA, and EU-GDPR regulations for IAM
Ability to influence technology teams and stakeholders without direct authority
Experience coaching individuals and leaders at multiple levels with tangible results
Ability to contribute information and recommendations to strategic plans, identify trends, and drive changes
Ability to build relationships with stakeholders across all levels and departments
Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of an interview required
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
