About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop key relationships with existing customers through frequent inbound and outbound calls, emails, and ongoing support
  • Build productive customer relationships supporting long-term business needs and retention
  • Respond to customer issues, including tier-one clinical questions, order fulfillment, invoice inquiries, payment allocation, claims or denials, and general service requests
  • Support timely invoice payments and collections across an assigned portfolio of accounts
  • Lead and participate in customer conference calls
  • Provide customer education on process guidance and best practices
  • Collaborate with teams across United Allergy Services to resolve customer concerns
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and company policy requirements
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or a high school diploma with at least two years of experience in customer or patient support
  • At least two years of experience in patient scheduling or billing in a high-volume healthcare office, clinical operations within an allergy center, or payer relations
  • Experience in two or more of patient scheduling, billing, clinical operations within an allergy center, or payer relations is strongly preferred
  • Experience managing and resolving issues in a high-touch customer service environment, both in person and by phone
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Sound problem-solving ability
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Experience meeting or exceeding quotas and performance metrics is preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database software
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Salesforce is required
  • Ability to type at least 30 words per minute
  • High school diploma or bachelor's degree pathway as specified
  • Ability to comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and company policy requirements
