About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support children and families to achieve positive outcomes
- Deliver mobile early childhood development and family support programs for children from birth to 12 years and their families
- Facilitate playgroups, workshops and community education activities
- Connect families with information, advice and referral pathways
- Maintain accurate case records
- Build relationships with children, families, community organisations, First Nations communities and local stakeholders
- Travel throughout regional and remote Queensland as part of a mobile service delivery model
- Approximately 60% of working hours involve travel and overnight stays in rural and remote locations
- Work with a supportive team that values innovation, collaboration and continuous learning
Requirements
What you’ll need- Hold a tertiary qualification, or be enrolled in Children's Services, Community Services, Counselling or a related discipline
- Experience working with children, families and communities in early childhood education, community services or a related field
- Strong understanding of child development and family support practices
- Experience facilitating programs, workshops or group activities
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
- Commitment to culturally safe and inclusive practice
- Current Queensland driver’s license
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
