About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a portfolio of corporate tax advisory engagements across multiple sectors and transaction types
  • Develop and deliver tax strategy recommendations on structuring, planning and optimisation
  • Prepare and review corporate tax compliance work
  • Ensure technical accuracy and compliance with current legislation
  • Manage HMRC correspondence and enquiries
  • Represent clients and negotiate outcomes on their behalf
  • Support M&A tax due diligence, transaction structuring and post-deal tax integration planning
  • Produce technical reports and client-facing deliverables explaining tax positions clearly
  • Coach and develop junior team members through oversight, review and quality control
  • Contribute to business development through proposals, pitches and growth opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation
  • Comfortable managing multiple live engagements simultaneously
  • Solid track record in corporate tax advisory or compliance at an established advisory or accountancy firm
  • CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification
  • Confident with data and digital tools
  • Ability to interpret financial information
  • Ability to learn new platforms quickly
  • Ability to use technology to improve work
  • Credible communicator with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to explain complex tax positions clearly
  • Ability to build trusted adviser relationships
  • Self-directed and comfortable owning a portfolio of clients
  • Initiative to identify growth opportunities
