About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and operate systems carrying consent and opt-out signals from the SDK through the auction at high QPS
  • Own latency, correctness, and reliability of privacy-critical request-path services
  • Orchestrate data subject request deletion across downstream systems and teams, track completion, and hold the SLA
  • Translate changing regulations such as GDPR and CCPA into per-jurisdiction configuration and enforcement without country-specific code changes
  • Build measurement and auditing systems to verify compliance and detect failures
  • Contribute to trust and safety systems, including content policy enforcement, deduplication, labeling, and fraud detection and mitigation tooling
  • Partner with legal and privacy counsel to translate requirements into working systems
  • Collaborate with ML and data engineers to put models and pipelines into production
  • Manage priorities and drive work across team boundaries

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience designing low-latency APIs and distributed backend services running at high QPS in production
  • Proficiency implementing scalable code in Golang; Java also welcome
  • Hands-on experience operating services on cloud infrastructure with Kubernetes and container orchestration
  • Experience with streaming platforms such as Kafka and event-driven system design
  • Comfort working on systems where correctness is externally audited and requirements come from outside engineering
  • Effective written and verbal communication, and ability to work effectively in multi-functional teams
  • Experience in AdTech and familiarity with IAB frameworks such as TCF
  • Background in privacy engineering, trust and safety, or fraud detection
  • Working knowledge of global privacy and data regulations, including GDPR and CCPA
  • Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and key-value stores such as Postgres, MongoDB, and Redis
  • Experience working alongside ML engineers or data teams to put models and data pipelines into production
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and observability tooling such as Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry
  • Sufficient knowledge of English for professional verbal and written exchanges
  • International relocation support is not available for this position
