About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supervise, lead, coach, and mentor a team of 10-20 employees
  • Lead efficient production of high-quality dehydrated vegetable products
  • Ensure employee safety, food safety, and quality standards
  • Use lean principles to implement continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
  • Ensure production meets standard rates while minimizing scrap and downtime
  • Facilitate pre-shift and short-interval-control meetings
  • Manage, evaluate, train, and develop staff through coaching, performance appraisals, corrective action, and on-the-job programs
  • Coordinate production scheduling with Production Schedulers and the Production Superintendent
  • Ensure label control in production rooms
  • Manage inventories of screens, impellers, stitch yarn, sieve screens, and packaging materials
  • Maintain and verify required production documentation
  • Monitor production schedules and ensure raw materials are available and staged
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report production rates and ingredient quality
  • Manage the production facility to audit-ready standards
  • Perform other assigned tasks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2-4 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Familiarity with inventory management
  • Experience facilitating pre-shift production meetings
  • Prefer experience with Six-Sigma and Lean manufacturing principles
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with a single-person lift
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs
  • Ability to bend and stoop
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
