About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Organize and coordinate office operations for Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine, and Intensivist departments
- Maintain department records and conduct/manage special projects
- Serve as key contact for physicians, APPs, providers, leadership, and community hospital departments
- Perform clerical duties including answering phones, managing mail, ordering supplies, coordinating meetings, maintaining calendars, reconciling credit cards, coding invoices, and maintaining employee records
- Conduct provider orientation and onboarding; coordinate EMR training and mandatory tasks
- Manage provider schedules, payroll, PTO, timesheets, invoices, reimbursements, CME details, travel, and locum vendor coordination
- Prepare provider, patient census, EMR, dashboard, transfer, time study, and other reports
- Coordinate credentialing, reappointments, certifications, certification training, denial letters, and provider recruitment activities
- Assign patients to Hospitalist providers and assist with death certificates, evaluations, grievances, presentations, and special projects
- Act as on-site department key contact and travel to clinical sites as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of administrative or healthcare administrative experience
- Ability to drive to different sites
- Manual dexterity to operate office equipment
- Travel to clinical sites is required from time to time
- Preferred: Associates Degree
- Preferred: Two (2) years of administrative experience in a medical office setting
- Ability to use Microsoft Teams, Workday, EMR, and QGenda
- Ability to complete payroll, invoices, reports, scheduling, credentialing, and provider onboarding tasks
