About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support Arizona College's enrollment efforts by providing admissions information to prospective and newly admitted students
- Create communication materials and represent the College
- Communicate with prospective students, parents, and the community through appointments, telephone, email, and other materials
- Process paperwork and interview applicants
- Arrange and conduct campus tours
- Conduct follow-up activities, including letter-writing and phone-calling campaigns
- Maintain recruiting operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes
- Adhere to compliance and regulatory standards
- Maintain professional interactions with internal and external individuals and VIPs
- Advise students and families regarding educational opportunities, admissions requirements, policies, and procedures
- Conduct effective phone presentations and interviews with candidates
- Increase enrollments and starts through diligent follow-up and assistance with the enrollment process
- Provide data for reporting, institutional research, and institutional effectiveness
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of student admissions and permanent-record databases for local, state, and federal reporting
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in admissions, retail sales, consumer marketing or recruitment
- High degree of professionalism and discretion when dealing with confidential information
- Organized, professional, and warm demeanor with potential and current students
- Exceptional ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask in an extremely dynamic environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community
- Organizing and coordinating skills
- Knowledge of college admissions procedures and student recruitment and retention issues
- Skill in using computerized systems and databases
- Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals
