About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct in-home and on-site study visits
  • Distribute participant incentives and study recruitment materials
  • Talk to participants to determine interest in research
  • Verbally walk participants through consent procedures
  • Administer study protocols
  • Conduct literature reviews and synthesis
  • Assist in coding interviews
  • Prepare and process IRB submissions, amendments, continuing reviews, adverse events, and serious adverse events
  • Coordinate, organize, and maintain sponsor or CRO documentation, including case report forms, source documentation, study and regulatory binders, and subject binders
  • Oversee data entry in study datasets
  • Prepare manuscripts and findings for presentation
  • Provide administrative support for research operations
  • Participate in weekly study progress meetings with the PI and research team
  • Travel between study visits
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • Knowledge of federal regulations and guidance documents for clinical studies and human subject protection
  • Ability to manage IRB submissions and renewals in accordance with FDA and IRB guidelines
  • Ability to assure compliance with protocols and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to collect, record, and maintain data and source documentation
  • Adherence to University of Pennsylvania, ICF, FDA, and NIH guidelines and policies
  • Background checks may be required after a conditional job offer
