About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Configure and develop e:Vision content for staff and students
  • Administer, set up, and maintain the e:Vision portal
  • Manage tasks, vistas, data maintenance, standard letters/reports, STUTALK, IPP processing, batch jobs, Flywire, and Maytas integration
  • Develop and maintain technical and functional knowledge of SITS:Vision, integrations, and other enterprise systems
  • Act as technical and process expert for e:Vision and enterprise systems
  • Maintain relationships with system users and act as a key team interface
  • Create technical documentation and work with the Business Analyst to test and obtain sign-off for developments
  • Maintain knowledge of systems and technologies through Tribal and sector interest groups and forums
  • Ensure data validation and GDPR/Data Protection compliance
  • Implement change management for system changes according to agreed procedures
  • Work with external consultants to implement features and fix issues
  • Improve efficiency and automation in key functional areas
  • Support and develop knowledge of other student record systems and data management tools, including PICS, PowerBI, dotmailer, and Agresso
  • Support the Enterprise Systems Delivery Manager in delivering University objectives
  • Evaluate solutions and recommend options within functional, time, technological, and financial constraints
  • Create technical designs for construction or modification of enterprise platforms
  • Resolve help calls within team SLAs and provide feedback to Business Owners
  • Participate in the full development lifecycle from requirements capture through deployment, testing, and release management
  • Attend project review meetings and stakeholder catch-ups
  • Occasionally provide out-of-hours support for upgrades and changes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree level qualification (essential)
  • Relevant IT qualifications (desirable)
  • Agile or Prince2 qualifications (desirable)
  • Experience with Tribal product development, particularly e:Vision and STUTALK
  • Experience with enterprise systems supporting the student lifecycle or higher education operations
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Transact-SQL
  • Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, HTML, and XML
  • Requirements gathering with a range of stakeholders
  • Full software development lifecycle management and execution
  • Developing technical documentation
  • Experience using PowerBI and setting up data integrations with SQL and other databases (desirable)
  • Experience working with relational databases using SQL/TSQL (desirable)
  • Experience developing applications using Microsoft Azure or authentication (desirable)
  • Experience with process review and change management (desirable)
  • Software testing experience (desirable)
  • Software Development Lifecycle knowledge
