About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide and manage nursing services remotely using audio and visual telecommunications technology
Assess patients and facilitate remote examinations
Complete clinical documentation
Arrange follow-up care
Use sensor technology and peripheral devices, including blood pressure monitors, scales, glucose testing equipment, EKGs, and dermascopes
Independently manage routine patient care and escalate complex clinical needs as appropriate at Nurse Level 2
Independently manage typical patient complexity, anticipate needs, and adapt care to clinical variations at Nurse Level 3
Lead complex cases and serve as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff at Nurse Level 4
Participate in interviews and job-related evaluations for career-level placement

Requirements

What you’ll need

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah, or obtain one within 90 days of hire under the interstate compact if switching residency to Utah
Must maintain current Interstate Compact (multi-state) license if residency is not being changed to Utah
Additional license requirements as determined by the hiring department
Qualifications, experience, and demonstrated skill set determine placement at the appropriate Virtual Care Registered Nurse career level
Higher career levels may require additional certification, education, and experience
Successful completion of a criminal background check and/or drug screen may be required
Physical abilities including carrying, climbing, color determination, crawling, far vision, lifting, listening, manual dexterity, near vision, pushing/pulling, reaching, sitting, speaking, standing, stooping/crouching, tasting/smelling, and walking
