About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Establishment of a digital Slavic studies teaching and research platform in the interdisciplinary fields of language teaching methodology, linguistics, literary studies, and cultural studies
Development of digital teaching formats for learning Slavic languages as foreign and minority languages
Active participation in research, teaching, and administration
Responsibility for administrative tasks in research and teaching, as well as university self-governance functions
International publications and presentations
Application for projects and acquisition of third-party funding
Independent delivery of courses in accordance with applicable collective bargaining provisions
Participation in evaluation measures and quality assurance

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed doctoral/PhD degree in Slavic studies
Outstanding dissertation in Slavic linguistics, literary and cultural studies, or Slavic language teaching methodology
Digital skills in research, teaching, and administration, including Microsoft Office, databases, and web design
Experience in university self-governance, research management, and managing project staff is desirable
Demonstrated research expertise and initiative through international publications in peer-reviewed venues
Teaching expertise and experience in e-learning
Excellent command of German and English, as well as at least one Slavic language, both spoken and written
Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Application materials: academic CV, letter of intent, publication list, summary of research interests, reference contacts, and official confirmation of completion of the doctoral/PhD degree
