About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in research projects and scientific studies in International Business, including SME, Family Firm, and MNE internationalization
  • Finalize the PhD dissertation agreement within 12–18 months
  • Work on and complete a PhD dissertation
  • Hold courses independently under the collective bargaining agreement
  • Perform administrative tasks in research, teaching, and administration
  • Seek funding opportunities and contribute to funding proposal writing
  • Lead or support third mission activities of the International Business research group
  • Collaborate with professors, postdoctoral, and administrative colleagues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed Master's degree in International Business, International Management, or Management with an international emphasis
  • Interest in pursuing research in International Business
  • Basic experience in academic writing and research methods
  • Excellent written and spoken English at C1 level
  • Good German is desirable but not required
  • IT user skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of qualitative data-analysis software such as Atlas.ti or NVivo is an advantage
  • Knowledge of quantitative data-analysis software such as SPSS or R is an advantage
  • Knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative research methods is desirable
  • Scientific curriculum vitae, letter of intent, and summary of research interests and prospective doctoral project proposal
