About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and develop a team of four accountants
Oversee and contribute to day-to-day accounting operations
Manage general accounting for Unobravo Italia
Oversee accounting for the Group’s foreign subsidiaries with external accounting firms and local teams
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, half-year and year-end closings
Coordinate statutory and Group consolidated financial statements
Review and redesign end-to-end accounting processes, workflows, controls and system integrations
Leverage NetSuite, automation, custom AI-enabled tools and integrations
Partner with management and cross-functional teams on business initiatives
Assess accounting and tax implications and identify compliant solutions
Support the Board of Statutory Auditors, external auditors and relevant stakeholders during audits
Oversee intercompany transactions, reconciliations, balances and consolidation eliminations
Define the tax framework for new services and product lines
Assess direct and indirect taxes, VAT treatment and invoicing requirements
Establish compliant administrative processes for new services
Ensure compliance with tax deadlines, statutory filings and accounting and tax obligations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Senior-level accounting experience
Italian and English languages
Willingness to travel periodically to Naples and other company locations
Degree in Economics or a related field
Strong knowledge of Italian accounting standards (OIC)
Solid experience in accounting roles with responsibility for financial closing of Italian and foreign entities
Strong knowledge of consolidated financial statements and intercompany transactions
Solid knowledge of Italian tax legislation, particularly VAT
Experience working with external accounting firms
Previous experience managing a team of accounting professionals
Proven track record in redesigning or optimizing accounting processes
Excellent proficiency in ERP systems, digital tools and technology-enabled workflows
Excellent knowledge of NetSuite preferred as a power-up
Concrete examples of accounting automations or controls built with AI, such as Python, SQL, Excel/Google Sheets scripts, NetSuite saved searches or integrations, preferred as a power-up
Previous experience in an accounting or audit firm preferred as a power-up
Knowledge of the healthcare sector and its accounting and tax/fiscal requirements preferred as a power-up
Experience in M&A preferred as a power-up
