About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the UK end of the supply chain, including the 3PL, goods-in, UK inventory and stock distribution to retailers, D2C customers and Amazon
  • Manage the day-to-day 3PL relationship, including slot bookings, service levels, issues, reviews, SLAs and action tracking
  • Lead monthly 3PL performance reviews and agree recovery plans when capacity falls short
  • Review and approve 3PL invoices
  • Reconcile receipts against purchase orders and packing lists, amend POs and escalate material gaps
  • Raise and close shortfall and damage claims
  • Own UK stock accuracy, cycle counts, stock takes, stock movement logging and reconciliations
  • Manage aged and expired stock, rework, packaging, tape and POS material inventory
  • Run outbound operations for UK retailers and D2C customers, including despatch instructions, transport, ASNs, proof of delivery and OTIF
  • Manage CHEP pallet orders, invoices and reconciliation
  • Own D2C and retail returns and handle D2C delivery exceptions
  • Run Amazon operations and review Amazon logistics invoices monthly
  • Produce weekly KPI reporting and report on warehouse performance, inventory and fulfilment
  • Support month-end reporting, stock adjustments, write-offs and EPR packaging declarations
  • Lead operational execution of warehousing and fulfilment changes, including process mapping and partner reporting
  • Act as NetSuite receiving and fulfilment super-user and help design and test receipt-to-despatch processes
  • Help establish fulfilment for new international markets
  • Support Amazon and UK retail growth, new product launches and new retailer onboarding

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3–5 years in logistics, fulfillment or warehouse operations, ideally in FMCG, food or pet food
  • Day-to-day management of a 3PL or warehouse
  • Stock control experience: cycle counts, reconciliations, adjustments and rework
  • Work by exception and follow every issue through to closure
  • Strong Excel, including pivot tables and lookups
  • Comfort working in a WMS and an ERP
  • Use AI tools to automate repetitive work, such as reports, forecasts and reconciliations
  • Clear, firm communication with 3PLs, carriers and retailers
  • Experience of a 3PL move or an ERP/WMS go-live preferred
  • Experience setting up fulfillment for a new country preferred
  • Experience of UK packaging EPR reporting preferred
  • Hands-on experience shipping into Amazon, Vendor Central or FBA, preferred
  • STEM background preferred
