About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Proactively identify gaps in how the business approaches problems
  • Partner with stakeholders to frame foundational questions and build solutions
  • Design, build, and own forecasting, spend allocation, marketing incrementality, and attribution tools
  • Design and execute A/B tests and complex causal inference analyses
  • Own hypothesis development, experiment design, and results interpretation
  • Build metrics frameworks and measurement strategies
  • Collaborate with the ML organization on complex technical challenges
  • Translate ambiguous business problems into decision-making frameworks
  • Own work end-to-end from scoping and analysis through storytelling and organizational change
  • Influence engineering, product, finance, and executive leadership without direct authority

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of experience in data science or quantitative roles with direct impact on product or business strategy
  • Demonstrated mastery of experimental design and A/B testing
  • Deep statistical expertise, including causal inference methods
  • Strong coding skills
  • Track record of translating data into actionable business decisions with non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous environments and shaping direction through thoughtful inquiry
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to translate complex technical work into clear narratives
  • Exposure to ML applications and ability to partner with ML/data science teams on technical challenges
  • Familiarity with personalization, recommendation systems, or matching algorithms
  • Experience with forecasting, spend allocation optimization, marketing incrementality, or attribution is highly preferred
