About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define the future of artifact and container-based deployment strategies
Evolve and support the immutable deployment platform
Develop applications and tools in Python and Golang
Design high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems with high availability and performance
Design and implement on-premise and cloud infrastructure solutions using VMware, AWS, and Azure
Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and scalability
Develop and deploy Infrastructure as Code using Ansible and Terraform
Troubleshoot system performance, network connectivity, and security issues
Perform infrastructure upgrades, patching, and security hardening
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools
Enable developers to build, bake, and deploy images locally, on Kubernetes, and to the cloud
Work with Upstream engineers to support platforms built on Java, Python, Go, PHP, and other languages
Monitor performance, availability, and security across on-premise and cloud environments
Develop tools for automating deployments, unifying platform metrics, reporting, and monitoring

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Systems Infrastructure, or related engineering domains
Strong programming experience in Python, Golang, and other languages
Linux system administration experience
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, container-optimized OS environments, and cloud virtualization platforms
Experience designing and building tools and infrastructure for cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
Deep knowledge of Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Jenkins, GitLab, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, and similar DevOps tools
Hands-on operational experience assisting cross-functional teams, maximizing system availability, and performing deep-dive troubleshooting and incident remediation
Practical exposure to VMware vCenter, cluster management, and virtualized platform infrastructure
Hands-on experience overseeing bare-metal fleets, enterprise storage setups, and SAN networking equipment
Solid background with relational datastores such as PostgreSQL and NoSQL solutions including Redis, Elasticsearch, Couchbase, and Cassandra
Great written and verbal communication skills
Eagerness to learn new technologies
