About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with Merchandising, Buying, Planning, Allocation, and Technology teams to deliver reporting and analytics solutions
  • Drive informed business decisions and support promotional and planning initiatives
  • Deliver end-to-end reporting and analytics solutions in a retail environment
  • Perform system and data analysis
  • Create and automate reports
  • Document business requirements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues for merchandising and planning partners
  • Support merchandise promotions processes, working closely with Anthropologie Planning teams
  • Learn and support the current business intelligence landscape and recommend continuous improvements
  • Anticipate and identify issues that may prevent deliverables and develop and implement corrective actions
  • Handle BI system analysis, design, development, testing, and training
  • Communicate and coordinate project activities with business, technical, and IT organizations
  • Assess projects, identify essential tasks, dynamically reprioritize tasks, evaluate alternatives, and provide possible solutions
  • Negotiate and persuade groups with diverse perspectives to gain cooperation and achieve merchandise objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong understanding of retail concepts and business processes
  • Minimum 2 years of retail experience
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines
  • Comfort interacting with all levels of the organization
  • Strong attention to detail, emphasizing quality and speed
  • Ability to prioritize work effectively and handle multiple competing demands
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
  • MicroStrategy knowledge preferred but not required
  • Access and MS-SQL knowledge is a plus
  • Working knowledge of at least one of: Island Pacific Merchandising, Qlik reporting, or Excel is a plus
  • Must embrace technology
