About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review merchandise invoices and match purchase orders associated with each invoice
- Calculate the pro-ration of transportation charges against respective purchase orders and assign a GL Code
- Send transportation charge calculations to the Accounts Payable Department for payment
- Prorate and allocate freight charges to purchase orders in the Island Pacific ledger upon payment
- Research as necessary to facilitate accurate and timely prepaid merchandise matching
- Provide support services to the Inventory Accounting team
- Complete ad hoc tasks and other responsibilities as deemed necessary
- Assist with inventory-related reporting
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and integrity
- Highly detail-oriented
- Capable of navigating financial systems
- Ability to manage a high volume of transactions in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Intermediate Excel skills
