About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support daily operational functions within the designated buying area
- Support the buying team in managing overall merchandise flow
- Perform administrative tasks
- Develop cross-functional relationships with market and internal partners, including distribution center, planning, buying operations, website merchandising, brand creative, and photo studio teams
- Ensure styles are live on the website in a timely manner
- Open and review sample purchase orders, take measurements, and route samples
- Request missing samples from vendors or the distribution center
- Provide samples to brand creative and styling teams
- Update STEP with product information
- Review styles that are Received Not Activated weekly
- Verify website copy and style details and flag corrections
- Coordinate with buying operations to support timely merchandise delivery
- Answer emails and vendor, shipping, logistics, payment, and distribution center inquiries
- Liaise between vendors and buyers
- Alert buyers to costing or timing implications of orders
- Provide vendor reporting and pull reports for meetings
- Share upcoming products with creative and merchandising teams
- Participate in seasonal trend roundups
- Add product information to TXT
- Assist with issuing and revising purchase orders
- Reconcile attributes weekly and ensure accurate coding
- Update care labels for OB product in Tradestone
- Prepare picture packs for meetings
- Receive, review, manage, and return samples to vendors
- Send purchase order requests for own-brand assortment
