About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support daily operational functions within the designated buying area
  • Assist the buying team in managing merchandise flow and the production process from concept to creation
  • Track purchase orders with vendors, buying operations, and transportation teams from shipment through warehouse receipt
  • Manage photo sample requests for web photography and creative shoots, communicating sample delays
  • Request, track, organize, prioritize, and maintain samples for PR, web photography, and meetings
  • Open sample boxes daily and keep sample shelves organized
  • Serve as the main vendor communication contact regarding design packs, sampling progress, sample feedback, cost sheets, and order entry
  • Lead internal weekly production meetings with the manager and provide updates on sampling progress and vendor questions
  • Conduct weekly web audits to verify styles and colors are activated and report issues, errors, and customer review findings
  • Become an expert on the product assortment and provide the team with product information, launch timing, and sample locations
  • Complete ad hoc reporting and projects to support the buying team
