About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, prototype, and operationalize machine learning models supporting customer experience, inventory management, pricing, and logistics
Work with ML engineers to deploy containerized inference services into production environments
Identify opportunities to drive business value using machine learning
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Operations stakeholders
Design and lead analyses to validate business hypotheses and influence decisions
Lead and contribute to multiple concurrent projects
Drive project scoping, experimentation, model iteration, stakeholder communication, and post-deployment monitoring
Contribute to sprint planning and roadmap prioritization
Provide technical mentorship to junior data scientists
Partner with Engineering and Product to ensure ML solutions are scalable, measurable, and robust in production

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years in a data science or applied ML role, preferably with consumer-facing or e-commerce applications
Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL
Strong statistical and analytical skills, including hypothesis testing, distributional analysis, and uncertainty estimation
Experience with tree-based models, clustering, neural networks, time series forecasting, and model evaluation
Hands-on experience deploying ML models to production, including containerization, monitoring, and A/B testing
Strong familiarity with scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Jupyter Notebooks
Experience with large-scale distributed data systems and real-time data pipelines such as Kafka
Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong interest in learning the Nuuly business
Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Self-motivated and able to deliver on tasks
Detail-oriented
Ability to think critically and develop creative solutions to complex problems
