About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maximize rent and resale revenue by creating and executing strategies to manage and sell off obsolete or slow-moving inventory
  • Support overall inventory performance through demand-driven fulfillment planning, stock rebalancing, and reverse logistics across distribution centers
  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts to predict inventory needs and ensure optimal stock levels for rent and resale channels
  • Use reporting tools to analyze inventory trends, make strategic decisions, and communicate actionable insights
  • Own and execute business recommendations
  • Solve organizational problems and make informed decisions based on analysis and experience
  • Track key metrics
  • Design and maintain pricing models
  • Apply data-driven insights to enhance strategies and support business objectives
  • Build relationships with planning, merchandising, and distribution center teams
  • Partner with senior management and influence team dynamics and processes through clear communication
  • Manage at least one direct report, set priorities, coach team members, and support career development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of combined experience in Merchandise Planning, Allocation, or Store Planning within a retail environment
  • Experience with Open-to-Buy (OTB) management
  • Experience with financial forecasting
  • Experience with inventory optimization
  • Experience in a start-up environment is a plus
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Results oriented
  • Critical thinking
  • Problem-solving skills to anticipate problems before they happen and handle them appropriately when they do
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills, including managing at least 1 direct report
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong data warehouse skills, including EDW, Looker, Island Pacific, and BigQuery
